Home > MISSIONS

We long for people to trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, to come to know Him in a personal way. We are called by the love of Christ to share His Gospel. Our mission is as local as our neighborhood and as universal as the whole world.

The following is a list of international and local missions and ministries which Good News Lutheran Brethren supports:

Lutheran Brethren International Missions
The mission of LBIM is to glorify God by being a Church that proclaims the gospel with an intensity and scope proportionate to our responsibility within the larger body of Christ, so that the Great Commission is fulfilled in and on behalf of our generation.

Church of the Lutheran Brethren North American Mission
As a denomination, the CLB has felt God calling us to more intentionally reach out to our neighbors in North America. This means more than opening our doors for an hour on Sunday morning. It means being the Church, outside the church. It means building relationships individually and collectively with people and communities who are not living in relationship with Jesus Christ.

CRU
This mission of CRU is helping to fulfill the Great Commission in the power of the Holy Spirit by winning people to faith in Jesus Christ, building them in their faith and sending them to win and build others and helping the body of Christ to do evangelism and discipleship through a variety of creative ways.

DiscipleMakers
If you want to experience how the gospel of Jesus Christ can heal relationships, spur people toward authentic community, provide ample opportunities to practice forgiveness, and restore broken people, then DicipleMakers is the group for you. Their desire is to be a people increasingly characterized by love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Global Service Network
Through Conversational English classes, Bible discussions, and personal appointments, Heidi Jensen encourages members of the United Nations community in their spiritual journey toward peace with God and assist them in applying His divine teachings to their personal and professional lives.

Gospelink
The mission of Gospelink is to connect the church globally for the purpose of gospel ministry. They diligently seek out national Christian leaders who are actively involved in local church ministry. After determining credibility through our application process, we then locate churches and individuals who would like to work alongside them. They want to leverage the potential of the global church by providing the link between the national leader and their ministry partners.

World Impact
World Impact has maintained a presence in Newark since 1976. Early emphasis was on Bible clubs for neighborhood children. The ministry expanded over the years and currently includes four active church plants, a Christian mission school, theological training for local leaders through The Urban Ministry Institute, a job-training program for teens and a community thrift store.

Juniper Community Missions
JCM’s mission is to enable local churches and individuals to partner in ministry projects and share Christ’s love while serving in Haiti.
